Welcome fromHeadteacher - Mr Nic Bailey

Welcome to Brunel Field Primary School, a vibrant, inclusive and joyful learning community within the Ashley Down Schools Federation.

At Brunel Field, our culture is built on curiosity, creativity, kindness and a deep sense of belonging. We provide a creative, caring, calm and stimulating learning environment, where every individual is valued and respected. Learning is celebrated and children are supported to achieve excellent academic outcomes, alongside personal and social growth.
We believe in nurturing confident, resilient and compassionate individuals who are empowered to explore, take risks and thrive. Our school values — Respect, Commitment, Compassion and Joy — are woven into every aspect of school life.

Children here are encouraged to be inquisitive, imaginative and independent thinkers who understand how to be an effective learner. Learning is active and playful, relationships are strong and every child feels safe, supported and celebrated for who they are.

Our dedicated staff are passionate about helping each child reach their full potential academically, socially and emotionally. We believe in the power of community, collaboration and creativity to inspire lifelong learning and personal development.

We hope you find everything you need on our website. If you have any questions or would like to know more about joining our school, please visit our admissions page or get in touch. We would love to meet you.

A few kind words about us... Logo

  • "My two daughters have felt welcomed, secure and happy at Brunel Field since day one, thanks in a large part to the gentle, nurturing and compassionate culture of the school. It really feels like a community where everyone has value, a voice and an important part to play."
    Parent, YEAR 1 & YEAr 4
  • "For me, one thing that stands Brunel Field apart is the play-based approach to the curriculum in Key Stage 1. Learning is done by following children's interests and through play, which keeps them excited and develops a sense of curiosity that will hopefully help keep a love of learning alive for years to come."    Parent, YEAr 1
